Privacy Notice
1. What this notice covers
Pramaan INC ("PRAMAAN", "we", "us", or "our") operates the PRAMAAN litigation record intelligence platform. This notice explains how we handle information when a firm visits our website, creates an account, uploads matter material, or uses AI-assisted features.
In India, PRAMAAN is operated by Maheshwari Entrepreneurs (UDYAM-UP-28-0084395) together with Pramaan AI Technology Pvt Ltd. WhatsApp business messaging on +91 92116 32306 is provided under the name Pramaan by Maheshwari Entrepreneurs.
PRAMAAN is built for legal work. That means the materials handled in the service may include confidential client information, privileged communications, pleadings, evidence, drafts, notes, and other sensitive matter records.
2. Information we handle
Account and firm information. Names, work email addresses, mobile numbers, role or firm details, login metadata, and administrator settings needed to provide firm-level access.
Date of birth and gender. Collected once, when an account is created. We use the date of birth for one purpose: to confirm that the account holder is 18 or older, which the Termsrequire, and to keep a record of the eligibility declaration and the terms version it was made under. Gender is part of the person's own account profile. We do not use either for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions about the service, and neither is shown to other members of your firm. You may also state a profession, which is optional and may be left blank. We keep these details for as long as the account exists, and delete or de-identify them with the rest of the account record as described in section 7.
Matter data. Documents, text, source references, reviewer notes, chronology entries, draft outputs, and other material your firm uploads, creates, or asks PRAMAAN to process.
Usage and security data. Technical logs, device/browser details, feature usage, audit events, and diagnostic information used to run the service, secure it, investigate errors, and prevent misuse.
3. How we use information
- Provide and maintain the PRAMAAN service.
- Authenticate users and enforce firm-level access.
- Confirm that an account holder meets the 18-or-older eligibility rule in the Terms.
- Store, structure, search, and review matter materials as your firm directs.
- Generate AI-assisted analysis, summaries, chronologies, drafts, and source-linked outputs.
- Respond to support, security, billing, and legal requests.
- Debug, test, and improve product workflows under controlled internal access.
We do not sell customer data. We do not use customer matter content to train third-party foundation models.
4. India storage and AI processing
PRAMAAN stores customer matter records and documents in India-hosted systems for the live India service. Storage location and AI inference location are different controls.
Some AI features require selected prompts, instructions, source excerpts, and generated outputs to be processed by approved AI processors outside India. This may include processing in the United States or other global regions depending on the firm's selected AI inference policy.
Firm administrators can request an India-resident inference policy from the settings panel and change the firm's selected policy. Policy changes and per-run provider and region details are recorded in the firm audit log. See our AI Processing Disclosure.
Approved AI processors may briefly cache repeated request context to speed up responses. Retention for AI inference is disclosed as zero or limited retention, not absolute non-retention; the prompt caching disclosure on the Approved AI Processors page explains what is cached and for how long.
5. Internal access
PRAMAAN personnel may access limited customer information when needed for support, security, debugging, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or approved quality-improvement work. Access is limited to authorized personnel and should be proportionate to the purpose.
For product improvement, we prefer de-identified, minimized, or synthetic examples where practical. Customer matter content should not be copied into general training datasets or used to train third-party foundation models.
6. Approved processors
PRAMAAN uses selected third-party services for hosting, authentication, communications, observability, support, and AI inference. For AI inference, PRAMAAN discloses the broker and serving processors separately on the Approved AI Processors page.
We share customer matter data with processors only as needed to provide, secure, support, or operate the service.
7. Retention, export, and deletion
Customer matter data is retained while the firm uses PRAMAAN, unless a contract or law requires a different period. On termination, we will provide a reasonable export window and then delete or de-identify customer data in accordance with the applicable agreement and legal requirements.
Security logs, audit records, backups, and legal-compliance records may follow separate retention periods where required to protect the service, investigate misuse, or comply with law.
8. Rights and requests
Firm administrators can request export, correction, deletion, or restriction of firm data where available under the service agreement and applicable law. Because firms control the client relationship, data-principal requests about matter data should generally be routed through the firm.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the product, processors, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be communicated through the website, service, or firm administrator channel.
